The recommendations here are general in nature and cannot be applied to individual patients without the judicious use of the treating physician’s judgment. Its author is Dr. Alejandro Soza, a hepatologist and professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
Independence and funding
This site shows no advertising and contains no third-party ads. Its content is educational and its sole purpose is to inform patients and their families. No article is sponsored or influenced by commercial interests. The author’s conflict-of-interest statement is available on the site.
Content review
Articles are written and reviewed by Dr. Alejandro Soza based on current clinical guidelines and peer-reviewed medical literature. When an article has been clinically reviewed, it shows the review date. The references cited at the end of each article correspond to real, verifiable sources.
